  • The foundation stone was laid and blessed on the 4th July 1880. The chapel was blessed the 11th September 1888 after eight years of construction. Its architecture reflects the romantic medievalism characteristic of the Viollet-le-Duc school. The Bon Sauveur chapel in Bégard is a religious and Breton masterpiece, made of granite and oak. The architects had the bright idea of adding a 45-metre long square cloister in the same style as the church.
