  • Built in the 1920s in the commune of Trégrom (3 km from Belle-Isle-en-Terre) to provide a new source of energy for the papeterie Vallée paper mill, Kernansquillec dam closed off the valley across a width of 110 metres and a height of 15 metres. At the time, the three turbines provided a considerable amount of power. In 1996, the old Kernansquillec dam was dismantled. Today, nature is re-establishing itself, with an increase in the salmon population and the visible presence of otters. ...
